Made in Europe

The decision in favour of sustainable fashion production in Bulgaria is a sign of responsibility. We have been producing almost exclusively in Europe since 1996 and opened a clothing production facility in Madan, Bulgaria, in 2008. A second production facility was added in Kardzhali in 2022. 400 employees work here in the newly built production facilities under the most modern standards and safe conditions.

Organic Cotton

The use of chemical-free cotton and production under fair conditions is not only visible and tangible for the environment, but also for our customers.

Recycled Polyamide

By using recycled polyamide, we are committed to the sustainable conservation of resources. Old fabrics and materials are thus given new life.

Recycled Polyester

Recycled polyester, for example, comes from old PET bottles and plastic waste from the sea. The recycled plastic fibres are used to create sustainable, high-quality materials and textiles.

Echtdaune & Re:Down

We attach great importance to ensuring that the down and feathers we use comply with sustainable and ethnic guidelines. Our real down is Downpass certified. This means that they comply with the European Convention for the Protection of Animals kept for Farming Purposes.

Re:Down-recycelte Daunen und Federn

Sportalm products with the Re:Down label are lined with 100% recycled down and feathers. By reusing down, we reduce the need for new raw materials and thus minimise our ecological footprint.

We attach great importance to a trusting co-operation with our partners and suppliers. Long-term partnerships - especially with our regional partners - enable short transport routes, secure production chains and, above all, the consistently high quality of our Sportalm fashion.

Founded in Italy in 1960, Eurojersey has made a name for itself with its innovative Sensitive® Fabrics range. These fabrics combine exceptional technical properties with high performance and excellent quality. Through the responsible use of resources, a sustainable production process and recycling measures, the company actively contributes to closing the textile cycle. This means that our Sportalm fashion is not only functional and stylish, but is also produced in a sustainable and, above all, future-orientated way.

For us, creativity and sustainability belong together. It's a good thing that in Lisa Spa we have found a partner whose sustainable philosophy matches our own. Since 1970, the Italian company has developed from a small production facility into one of the leading companies in the textile industry. What makes it special is that all manufacturing processes are characterised by an awareness of sustainable resource management and work is carried out according to ethnic guidelines. All fabrics are printed with designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also made from sustainable fibres.

EcoVero

Wir arbeiten stetig daran, unsere Produktion nachhaltig zu gestalten und setzen deshalb auf EcoVero-Stoffe, die aus nachhaltig bewirtschafteten, zertifizierten Holzquellen (FSC oder PEFC) stammen. Diese Fasern reduzieren den CO₂-Ausstoß sowie den Wasserverbrauch um jeweils bis zu 50% und sind zudem biologisch abbaubar. So tragen wir aktiv zu einer umweltfreundlicheren und ressourcenschonenden Produktion bei.

Packaging & Logistics

We use cardboard boxes that are not only robust and functional, but can also be reused or recycled. All packaging is designed to protect the contents securely while minimising the environmental impact. We keep our transport routes as short and efficient as possible. And, because we are not only sustainable but also like to be fashionable, we also like to send our Sportalm collections in our exclusive fabric bags with embroidered Sportalm logos. Our customers love them. And so do we.

Dealing with unsold goods

Our sustainable internal recycling management system enables us to keep unsold goods, sample items or prototypes in circulation. This means that our high-quality goods are available as 1st or 2nd choice in our outlets. In this way, we contribute to the sustainable conservation of resources.

Maintenance and repair service

The long-term use of our Sportalm articles is very important to us. Proper care and repair is therefore a decisive factor. We therefore recommend our in-house tailoring shop in Kitzbühel to our customers, guaranteeing professional and high-quality repairs to their favourite items.

Manual labour

Handcrafted perfection from tradition

A unique masterpiece does not come from just anywhere. Traditional costume requires craftsmanship and manual labour like no other discipline in clothing. A piece full of folk culture and local history, sewn to last and to become part of new stories and experiences. It is the art of craftsmanship: from hand-stitched waffle stitching to skilful draping, piping, scalloping and unique embroidery, Sportalm has carried the craft of traditional costume from its origins to the present day. Out of love for the Kitzbühel traditional costume tradition and the values associated with it.
